On September 21st, Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter (PLL) supported the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) annual Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes in Washington, DC.
PLL
has been a long-time supporter of the ADA’s mission to ultimately find a cure
for diabetes, which is prevalent in the Black community. Each year, PLL leads a fundraising effort and establishes a Chapter team to participate in the Walk, which was held this year
on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
Brother
Vernon Campbell spearheaded this year’s fundraiser for the Chapter and
organized the team’s effort. Through his
hard work, the Chapter team raised $5,700 for ADA, placing PLL in the top 5 of
94 teams participating in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Great work, PLL!
