Pi Lambda Lambda (PLL) Chapter | Third District | Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. | Prince William County, Virginia – On November 21, 2024, the Brothers of Pi Lambda Lambda Chapter teamed with St. Francis House to provide meals for those in need in the Dumfries, VA and Triangle, VA areas. PLL donated (50) turkeys to go with the (50) bags of groceries distributed by St. Francis House. Through this joint effort, enough food was distributed to provide (200) Thanksgiving meals.

St. Francis House, located in Dumfries, VA, is an outreach ministry of St. Francis of Assisi Church that was established in 1992. Its main objective is to serve the many needs of low-income, disadvantaged families in Eastern Prince William County, Virginia. This support includes providing groceries on a weekly basis to 50-75 families, meals for people experiencing homelessness at Hilda Barg Shelter and Bill Mehr Drop-in Shelter, financial support, and educational support.

PLL started teaming up with Francia Salguero, the Director of St. Francis House, in 2016. Brother Jeffrey Allen, a former PLL Basileus and member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, has always led this effort. In addition to the turkeys, PLL has also donated canned goods and school supplies in the past.
